Why JPG is the safest format to share

JPG is accepted by nearly every phone, printer, email client, social network, marketplace and upload form. WebP is supported by modern browsers but still rejected by some apps, older software and print services, so converting removes a common obstacle when a form says “only JPG or PNG allowed”.

Transparency becomes a background colour
