About Momentix
Who we are
Momentix is an independent collection of free online calculators. We started with a simple frustration: most calculator sites give you a number but never tell you how it was worked out, which makes it hard to trust, check or reuse. So every Momentix tool shows the formula, walks through the steps with your own numbers, and adds a worked example you can verify by hand.
Our tools cover everyday questions people search for all the time – how old someone will be on a certain date, how many business days are left before a deadline, what a discount really did to a price, how long a savings goal will take, or what score is needed on a final exam.
What we believe in
A useful calculator should be correct first, then fast, then clear. That shapes how we build every page:
- Accuracy: each calculation is covered by automated tests, including edge cases such as leap days, midnight shifts, zero and negative values, and 100% discounts.
- Transparency: results come with the formula, the steps and the assumptions we made, so you can see exactly what the number means.
- Privacy: calculations run in your browser. We do not ask you to sign up, and the numbers you type are not stored on our servers.
- Accessibility: pages are designed to work on phones as well as desktops, with clear labels, readable contrast and keyboard-friendly controls.
How we build and check our tools
Each calculator starts with a published, standard formula – for example the amortisation formula for loans or the calendar-month method for ages. We write the calculation as separate, testable code, compare it against hand-worked examples and reference values, and only then build the page around it.
The written guidance on every page – what the tool is, how it works and the FAQs – is prepared and reviewed by our team to be plain, specific and honest about limits. Results are estimates for planning and learning, not financial, legal, tax or medical advice, and astrology content is offered for reflection and entertainment.
About the team
Momentix is built and maintained by a small independent team of developers and editors who care about getting the maths right. One person writes the calculation, another checks it against hand-worked examples and reference figures, and the guidance text is edited for clarity and honesty before it is published.
We are not a bank, an accountancy firm or a professional astrologer. Our tools are designed to help you understand your numbers and plan, and we say clearly where a result is only an estimate. If you spot a mistake, please tell us – corrections are made quickly and noted on the page.
